Cannassure Therapeutics Appoints Dr. Shimon Amsalem to their Scientific Advisory Board

Cannassure Therapeutics announces the appointment of Dr. Shimon Amsalem, Chief Scientist of Delivery Technologies and Formulation Consultant at Adama Agricultural Solutions Ltd. With over 25 years of experience in the development of new drugs and advanced delivery technologies, Dr. Amsalem is an expert in combination pharmaceuticals, bringing knowledge of all stages of successful drug launch from discovery to marketing.

Dr. Amsalem founded and served as CEO of Nextar ChemPharma Solutions, a company specializing in providing pharmaceutical and analysis services to companies in the fields of biotech, pharma, and medical devices. Dr. Amsalem has been involved in the development of 30 new pharmaceutical products, including Doxil® – a specially coated form of doxorubicin that enhances chemo treatment by increasing the amount of chemotherapy delivered to cancer cells, while reducing side effects in healthy tissue. Dr. Amsalem holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, an MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a BA in Chemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
