Cannassure Commences their R&D Program for New Medical Cannabis Products, Founded upon Existing Pharmaceutical Drug Delivery Systems

The Company is honored to announce that following receipt of the program approval for the technological development of cannabis products for medical use, from the Israeli Medical Cannabis Agency (IMCA) of the Israeli Ministry of Health, it intends to conduct new product development research based on the extraction of active ingredients from the medical cannabis plant, as follows:

1. Development of an oral formulation;
2. Development of water-soluble powder formulation;
3. Development of powdered formulation for the administration of medical cannabis
   via an inhaler device.

The R&D activity will be carried out in the company’s laboratory in Ashdod, which is adjacent to the company’s indoor growing and production facility, after having obtained the necessary license from the IMCA to hold medical cannabis for research purposes.

The development activity will be carried out by the company’s R&D team under the management of VP R&D, Dr. Hadile Onallah-Saad, and accompanied by members of the company’s Scientific Advisory Board. The Scientific Advisory Board includes Dr. Yafit Stark, former Vice President of Global Clinical Development in the Research and Development Division at the Israeli pharmaceutical company Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.; Dr. Shimon Amsalem, who is the Chief Scientist of Delivery Technologies at Adama Agricultural Solutions Ltd., which has been developing formulations for 25 years, from drug discovery to marketing; and Professor Tamar Peretz, Director of the Oncology Institute at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center, which specializes in cancer research in general and breast cancer in particular.
